Od chv\u00edle, kdy jsem p\u0159ijela do \u010cesk\u00e9 republiky, ub\u011bhly u\u017e dva m\u011bs\u00edce. Byla to doba, kdy jsem se ka\u017ed\u00fd den nau\u010dila n\u011bco nov\u00e9ho, a u\u010d\u00edm se st\u00e1le. Je jedno, jestli jde o pozn\u00e1v\u00e1n\u00ed odli\u0161n\u00e9 kultury, zdraven\u00ed \u201cahoj\u201d stokr\u00e1t denn\u011b, nebo jen o to, jak t\u011b\u017ek\u00e9 je tu naj\u00edt obchod, kter\u00fd m\u00e1 otev\u0159eno v\u00a0ned\u011bli ve\u010der. Uplynul\u00e9 dva m\u011bs\u00edce p\u0159inesly nov\u00e9 lidi, dojmy, v\u011bci, zvyky a ka\u017edodenn\u00ed rutinu, kter\u00e1 nezahrnuje mou rodinu a p\u0159\u00e1tele.<\/p>\n
Mnoho lid\u00ed se m\u011b pt\u00e1, pro\u010d jsem sem p\u0159i\u0161la. N\u011bkte\u0159\u00ed mi \u0159\u00edkaj\u00ed, \u017ee jsem bl\u00e1zen, kdy\u017e jsem odjela do tak nezn\u00e1m\u00e9 zem\u011b, sama a ne kv\u016fli zaj\u00edmav\u00e9mu v\u00fdd\u011blku. Ano, rozhodla jsem se p\u0159ijet sem, ani\u017e bych zprvu tu\u0161ila, co p\u0159esn\u011b mohu \u010dekat. Nyn\u00ed, kdy\u017e jsem tady, mohu zcela jist\u011b \u0159\u00edci, \u017ee toho nelituji.<\/p>\n
Samoz\u0159ejm\u011b, \u017ee prvn\u00ed t\u00fdden byl t\u011b\u017ek\u00fd. V hlav\u011b jsem m\u011bla \u0161\u00edlen\u00fd zmatek. Ztratilo se mi zavazadlo. Pochopila jsem, \u017ee nemohu spol\u00e9hat, \u017ee mi v\u017edy pom\u016f\u017ee m\u00e1 znalost angli\u010dtiny. Sna\u017eila jsem se neztratit se ve m\u011bst\u011b, nenastoupit do \u0161patn\u00e9ho autobusu, nevystoupit na \u0161patn\u00e9 zast\u00e1vce; a\u00a0tak\u00e9 po\u010d\u00edt\u00e1n\u00ed pen\u011bz bylo t\u011b\u017ek\u00e9, proto\u017ee jsem se v\u017edy sna\u017eila porovn\u00e1vat s arm\u00e9nsk\u00fdm dramem, co\u017e m\u011b hodn\u011b m\u00e1tlo. Kdy\u017e jsem je\u0161t\u011b byla v Arm\u00e9nii, v\u011bd\u011bla jsem, \u017ee tu budu sama po cel\u00fd rok, ale jak jsem zjistila, v\u011bd\u011bt to a \u010delit tomu jsou dv\u011b rozd\u00edln\u00e9 v\u011bci. V\u0161ichni a v\u0161echno v Jerevanu pro m\u011b stouplo v cen\u011b.<\/p>\n
Brzy jsem v\u0161ak zjistila, \u017ee tu m\u00e1m velkou v\u00fdhodu. Jsem obklopen\u00e1 mil\u00fdmi lidmi, kte\u0159\u00ed jsou ochotn\u00ed pom\u00e1hat. Je tak p\u0159\u00edjemn\u00e9, kdy\u017e vid\u00edte, \u017ee nejsou jen slu\u0161n\u00ed, ale \u017ee se opravdu sna\u017e\u00ed pomoci. Ka\u017ed\u00fd se ke mn\u011b chov\u00e1 mile a d\u00e1v\u00e1 mi jen pozitivn\u00ed energii. T\u0159eba moje koordin\u00e1torka, kter\u00e1 je mou \u201cprvn\u00ed pomoc\u00ed\u201d ve v\u0161em. V\u017edycky mi pom\u016f\u017ee a nikdy neignoruje moje prosby, i kdy\u017e n\u011bkdy byly hloup\u00e9. Moje mentorky jsou mil\u00e9. Uk\u00e1zaly mi m\u011bsto, poradily, kter\u00e9 obchody jsou lep\u0161\u00ed, zorganizovaly pro m\u011b zaj\u00edmav\u00e9 odpoledn\u00ed a v\u00edkendov\u00e9 aktivity. Moji kolegov\u00e9 v knihovn\u011b jsou v\u017edy p\u0159ipraven\u00ed mi pomoci, kdy\u017e po\u017e\u00e1d\u00e1m, ale i bez po\u017e\u00e1d\u00e1n\u00ed. Nap\u0159. mi jedna poslala mapu Dr\u00e1\u017e\u010fan, kdy\u017e se dozv\u011bd\u011bla, \u017ee tam pojedu poprv\u00e9. M\u00e1m r\u00e1da lidi z Anglick\u00e9ho klubu, od kter\u00fdch se m\u00e1m hodn\u011b co u\u010dit. \u010casto se m\u011b ptaj\u00ed na Arm\u00e9nii a tam\u011bj\u0161\u00ed \u017eivot, tak\u017ee m\u00e1m p\u0159\u00edle\u017eitost mluvit o\u00a0sv\u00e9 domovin\u011b, kterou velmi postr\u00e1d\u00e1m. Jeden z nich mi minul\u00fd t\u00fdden \u0159ekl, \u017ee m\u011b r\u00e1d potk\u00e1v\u00e1, proto\u017ee se po\u0159\u00e1d usm\u00edv\u00e1m. Ne\u0159ekla jsem mu to, ale d\u016fvod m\u00e9ho \u00fasm\u011bvu je ten, \u017ee oni m\u011b p\u0159im\u011bj\u00ed se usm\u00edvat. Jak bych se neusm\u00edvala, kdy\u017e m\u011b ka\u017edou sch\u016fzku zdrav\u00ed \u201cbarev\u201d (arm\u00e9nsk\u00fd v\u00fdraz pro ahoj). M\u00e1m je v\u0161echny moc r\u00e1da a c\u00edt\u00edm se mezi nimi \u0161\u0165astn\u00e1.<\/p>\n
Sly\u0161ela jsem o \u010ce\u0161\u00edch, \u017ee nejsou p\u0159\u00edli\u0161 komunikativn\u00ed. Na v\u0161echno si st\u011b\u017euj\u00ed a jsou chladn\u00ed k\u00a0cizinc\u016fm. Mohu rozhodn\u011b \u0159\u00edci, \u017ee jsem se s takov\u00fdm chov\u00e1n\u00edm dosud nesetkala. Nikdy jsem nedostala jinou odpov\u011b\u010f ne\u017e \u201cdob\u0159e\u201d na mou ot\u00e1zku \u201cJak se m\u00e1\u0161?\u201d.<\/p>\n
Sv\u016fj Jerevan velmi postr\u00e1d\u00e1m, ale douf\u00e1m, \u017ee nebude \u017e\u00e1rlit, kdy\u017e p\u0159izn\u00e1m, \u017ee nyn\u00ed srde\u010dn\u011b miluji \u00dast\u00ed nad Labem. N\u011bkte\u0159\u00ed \u0159\u00edkaj\u00ed, \u017ee nepat\u0159\u00ed mezi nejkr\u00e1sn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed m\u011bsta v \u010cesk\u00e9 republice, ale j\u00e1 si to nemysl\u00edm. Ano, nen\u00ed tu mnoho historick\u00fdch pam\u00e1tek a popul\u00e1rn\u00edch turistick\u00fdch c\u00edl\u016f jako v Praze, ale m\u011bsto je kr\u00e1sn\u00e9 samo o sob\u011b. M\u00e1m r\u00e1da zdej\u0161\u00ed p\u0159\u00edrodu, kopce a lesy, kter\u00e9 m\u011bsto obklopuj\u00ed. Jsou je\u0161t\u011b kr\u00e1sn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed nyn\u00ed v pozdn\u00edm podzimu. L\u00edb\u00ed se mi, \u017ee zdej\u0161\u00ed ulice nejsou jednotv\u00e1rn\u00e9, \u017ee je tu hodn\u011b strom\u016f a \u017ee je to jedno z nejzelen\u011bj\u0161\u00edch m\u011bst, kter\u00e9 jsem kdy vid\u011bla. Jsem r\u00e1da, \u017ee to tu nen\u00ed p\u0159epln\u011bn\u00e9, \u017ee to nen\u00ed velk\u00e9 m\u011bsto, ale i tak tu \u010dlov\u011bk najde v\u0161e, co pot\u0159ebuje. Pokud n\u011bkdo \u0159\u00edk\u00e1, \u017ee \u00dast\u00ed nen\u00ed kr\u00e1sn\u00e9, tak nevid\u011bl pohled na \u0159eku Labe. Kdy\u017e se na n\u011bj pod\u00edv\u00e1te od hlavn\u00edho n\u00e1dra\u017e\u00ed, mus\u00edte p\u0159iznat, \u017ee je to n\u00e1dhern\u00fd pohled. Je\u0161t\u011b v\u00edce m\u011b okouzlil pohled na \u0159eku z v\u00fd\u0161ky V\u011btru\u0161e, odkud jsem m\u011bla p\u0159ed o\u010dima cel\u00e9 m\u011bsto v\u010detn\u011b Mari\u00e1nsk\u00e9ho mostu a sk\u00e1ly. M\u00e1m r\u00e1da jednu v\u011bc, kter\u00e1 p\u0159ekvap\u00ed ka\u017ed\u00e9ho, kdy\u017e o n\u00ed mluv\u00edm. Je to po\u010das\u00ed. Nyn\u00ed je chladno, mlhavo a de\u0161tivo, ale je to moje obl\u00edben\u00e9 po\u010das\u00ed a c\u00edt\u00edm se v n\u011bm dob\u0159e.<\/p>\n
Zm\u00ednila jsem mnoho aspekt\u016f, pro\u010d m\u00e1m r\u00e1da sv\u016fj \u017eivot v \u00dast\u00ed nad Labem, ale je\u0161t\u011b bych r\u00e1da pov\u011bd\u011bla o jednom. Od prvn\u00edch dn\u016f tady c\u00edt\u00edm, \u017ee je tu n\u011bco p\u0159\u00e1telsk\u00e9ho, n\u011bco m\u00e9ho v tomhle m\u011bst\u011b, co mi d\u00e1v\u00e1 pocit, \u017ee tu m\u00e1m sv\u016fj, i kdy\u017e jen do\u010dasn\u00fd, domov. U\u017e tu nejsem cizinkou.<\/p>\n

Two months have passed since I am in the Czech Republic. These were days that I learnt something new every single day and the process keeps on. It does not matter if it was cultural information, saying \u201cAhoj\u201d hundred times a day or just finding out that it is difficult here to find a shop that is open on Sunday evening. These were just two months that brought new people, impressions, things, habits and daily routine that does not include my family and friends.<\/p>\n
Many people asked me why I came here. Some of them said. \u201cYou are mad if you are going to live in unfamiliar country all alone and that is not even for earning money\u201d. Yes, I decided to come here at first even not fully realizing what exactly I expect from it. Now I am here and I can surely say that I do not regret it.<\/p>\n
Of course, first week was hard. Everything was messed up in my head. I lost my baggage at the airport. I understood that here you cannot rely on your knowledge of English to help you any time. I tried not to get lost in the city, not to get on a wrong bus, not to get off it at the wrong bus stop; even counting money was difficult, because I always tried to compare it with Armenian Dram, which confused me a lot. When I was in Armenia, I knew that I was going to be all alone for the whole year, but as I found out, knowing it and facing with it were different feelings. Everybody and everything in Yerevan became more valuable for me.<\/p>\n
But very soon I understood that I have an important advantage here. I am surrounded by kind and helpful people. It is so warming when you see that they are not just polite, they really try to help you. Everyone treats me nice and gives me only positive energy. I can tell about my coordinator who is my \u201cfirst emergency\u201d in everything. She always helped me and never ignored anything that I asked her, even if sometimes there were stupid requests. My mentors are nice. They introduce me the city, give advices which shops are better, organize interesting afternoon activities and weekends. My colleagues at the library are always ready to help me when I ask and even without asking. For example, one of them sent me a guide and map of Dresden when she knew that I am going there for the first time. I like people from Open English Club from whom I have a lot of to learn. They often ask me questions about Armenia and the life there, so I have a chance to speak about my Homeland that I miss very much. One of them said last week that he likes to meet me, because I always smile. I did not say this to him, but the reason of my smile is that they make me smile. How can I not smile when every time meeting me the other man greets me with \u201cBarev\u201d (Armenian version of \u201cAhoj\u201d). I like them all and feel happy among them.<\/p>\n
I have read and heard that Czech people are not so communicative. They claim from everything and are cold to strangers. I can definitely say that I have not met such treatment since I am here. I have never heard any other answer but \u201cDob\u0159e\u201d to my question \u201cJak se m\u00e1\u0161?\u201d<\/p>\n
I miss my Yerevan very much, but I hope it will not be jealous if I confess that now I sincerely love \u00dast\u00ed nad Labem. Some people say that it is not one of the beautiful cities in Czech Republic, but I don\u2019t think so. Yes, here are not so much historical monuments, famous touristic destinations as in Prague, but this city is beautiful by itself. I like the nature here, hills and woods that surround the city. They are more beautiful now when there is late autumn. I like that streets here are not flat, that here are a lot of trees, that this is one of the greenest cities I have ever seen. I like that it is not overcrowded here, that it is not big city but you can find everything you need. If anyone says that \u00dast\u00ed is not beautiful, that means he has never seen the view of river Elba. When you look at it from the side of the Main train station you cannot deny that it is a fascinating view. I was even more impressed from the enchanting view of it from the height of V\u011btru\u0161e, from where the whole city was\u00a0 before my eyes including Marianski bridge and rock. I like one thing that everyone is surprised when I say about it. That is weather. It is now cold, foggy and rainy, but this is my favorite weather and I feel comfortable with it.<\/p>\n
I mentioned many aspects why I like my life in \u00dast\u00ed nad Labem, but I want to say one more thing. From the very first days of my being here, I felt that there is something friendly, something my own in this city, that makes me feel that here I have my home even if it is temporary. I am not a stranger here anymore.<\/p>\n
